There are a couple of confirmed UK bound Android handsets that have us excited, but first off, a quick peek at the latest in Korea: the Android LG LU3000.
This latest handset from Korean phone maker LG is able to support 1080p resolution HD videos in its 3.8 inch IPS WVGA touch screen display. While impressive, there is certainly a lot to ask for in a small handset –and being able to appreciate all the minute details of full HD video on such a small view screen is pretty hard. What makes this truly impressive is that it also has an HDMI output port, making it one of the best portable HD video players around. The device also comes with a 1GHz Texas Instruments OMAP CPU for added speed and power.
Moving on, eXpansys now has the Motorola Milestone 2 available for anyone who wants to buy the ever impressive Android smart phone. Our personal favorite with this handset is the fact that it comes with a physical slide out QWERTY keyboard –a big factor that has only recently become common among Android devices.
Much like the original Milestone, the Milestone 2 makes use of a well oriented keyboard layout that makes typing long messages fast and easy. Getting used to the button layout takes only a very short time as well. Sadly, the rugged and futuristic look of the original has been replaced with a timeless, classic and sleek new form factor.
Acer is bringing the Android user experience to those on a tight smart phone budget. At a little under 200 Euros, the Acer beTouch E140 smart phone will be available to you. The device is not as cheap looking as it is priced. At 2.8 inches, the screen is still of a decent size and the 3.2 mega pixel camera will take care of the casual users’ needs.
