Orange Mobile UK has just announced that it will be launching a Fashion lineup for the X10 Mini. The ad stated that the handset would be having casings with fashion aesthetics that are in the style of Milan, Paris and London.
The Fashion Covers, as well as style apps will be available from the network operator for those singing up for the handset. With a special 20 Pound monthly tariff (under the Dolphin plan), subscribers will be able to enjoy special internet bandwidth allowance and unlimited texting. This made for women advert has yet to be shown officially on the Orange website but the new about it has already spread out within the day.
The upcoming LG Optimus Pad is being touted as an oversized version of the Optimus Android series (though some Optimus devices use the Windows Phone 7 OS). While no specific release date has been given, current speculation points out that the device will not be available for a while.
The Korean manufacturer has stated that when the Optimus Pad comes out, it will be running Android Honeycomb –which means that this device will be out well into next year as the most current version of the OS is still an entire version apart (currently at Froyo, with Gingerbread to be released and Honeycomb considered to be practically non-existent at this point).
Lastly, it seems that Japanese phone maker Sharp is planning to deliver a 3D Android handset. There will officially be two devices: one packing a slide out keyboard and the other to be a basic touch screen device. The phones will be running on 1GHz Snapdragon CPUs, have 3.8 inch 3D capacitive touch screen displays and are expected to launch this coming Christmas (the one with a keyboard) and sometime next February (the one with a higher spec camera).
