I was hesitant on updating my HTC Legend to Android 2.2 as a result of the previous update several months ago. I had heard that Vodafone had faced a backlash to their update and had to make a U-turn regarding this. I therefore updated my HTC Legend after this, expecting everything to be as it should. Immediately I had loading issues every time I tried to get to the home screen. After having no luck online trying to find a solution, I played with the phone and deleted the cache relating to HTC Sense which seemed to resolve the problem.
I have just downloaded the latest update to my HTC (23/11/2010) with slight trepidation, but thankfully all seems to be well. It has even resolved my main bugbear of the previous update which didn’t send you to the latest text message in the conversation – very frustrating and time consuming scrolling down.
First appearances seem to be very positive. The home screen with time and weather info is more comprehensive and when entering a new menu or app the screen maximises in a nice fluid way. Additionally, there appears to be some new functionality on texting with a few icons, such as attaching music, photos, etc. Everything seems to be working smoothly – no issues with Android Market as reported by Samsung Galaxy S users.
So all in all a positive update and a pleasant improvement from the last one.
