Today, we have got two interesting updates for two interesting phones from electronics manufacturer Dell. The Streak and Venue Pro handsets have been in the news early on and here is a couple of quick news updates regarding the two phones.

First off, the Dell Venue Pro is delayed. The sad news is that the phone is not only part of the starting roster of Windows Phone 7 devices that were launched last October (along with the new Microsoft mobile platform itself), but it will not even make it to the holiday store shelves.

This sad news came in through the grapevine today and is already being met with a lot of unhappy reactions. Still, there is a bit of hope, customers who have already pre-ordered the handset might receive the device by Christmas time, though everyone else will certainly have to wait until January.

For a quick glimpse of what we are missing out, here’s a quick look at the Venue Pro’s spec sheet: the device has a 4.1 inch AMOLED capacitive touch screen display (protected by Gorilla Glass), a 5 mega pixel camera, 720p HD video recording, a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, 16GB of internal memory (there is also an 8GB variant) and a 1400 mAh battery.

In more Dell news, the Streak is finally getting its Froyo update –and O2 has confirmed that they will be launching the update this week as well. The official update is launching this week and O2 is quickly following suit. The Streak came out with only the 1.6 Donut version so this patch is sure to make plenty of Streak owners happy. For those wondering why this Android is so important, it is actually one of the first phones to sport such a massive touch screen at a full 5 inches.
