December 2nd, 2010 by Best Mobile Contracts

The Apple iPad will finally be available through plans and tariff at 3 UK this coming Friday. Those interested in the smart phone will want to go over to the mobile virtual network operator to grab some of the best deals for the touch screen tablet. Expect to see plenty of folks signing up for what are apparently some of the best deals for the iPad (even when compared to Orange and T-Mobile’s deals).

Today is the launch day for the Android 2.2 Froyo update for Samsung’s i9000 Galaxy S. Owners of the impressive high end smart phone will want to grab the update but it is advised to wait for a good and stable network connection before choosing to update the OS. As expected, the Froyo update will be speeding up the OS and will also provide users with support for Adobe’s Flash Player 10.1.

Research in Motion has certainly hit the mark by acquiring QNX. With the Playbook set to shake things up for the touch screen tablet industry, many are already excited to see what the BlackBerry branded device will be able to do. After the acquisition of QNX, RIM’s share value has risen up by a solid 5%. In more RIM news, the BlackBerry Curve 8980 has been registered with the FCC and according to the information; the device will be sporting trackpad controls.

LG is truly pushing the promotion of the LG Star Android smart phone. The Android smart phone is posed to be on top of the technological food chain as it makes use of NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 CPU which will make the handset incredibly fast.

Initial estimates for the speed place it at 1.2 GHz, but there are also rumors that the phone will be running at 1.5 GHz. Hopefully, LG provides the device with a great battery and better energy management.
