The contemporary and simplistic Symbian^3 smartphone from Nokia is on sale exclusively from Carphone Warehouse.
Carphone Warehouse is offering the Nokia C6-01 device on contract and Pay As You Go. On contract, C6-01 deals cost £15 a month with a free handset and on PAYG, £299.
This Symbian phone combines advanced features with a friendly UI. You can easily stay in touch with friends on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, as all communications are fed into one stream on the home screen. And with just one click you can update your status on various platforms too.
The AMOLED display measures 3.2 inches and the clarity is ideal for playing back HD videos captured on the inbuilt 8-megapixel snapper. Or you can plan journeys using the Ovi Maps app and the GPS technology available, and make the most of the turn-by-turn navigation option.
Neat and compact, the Nokia C6-01 is designed for “the consumer who wants to stay on top of their social life while on the go”, according to Nokia. Photos taken on this mobile phone can be instantly shared online, together with videos. Both Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity are supported for effortless browsing. In addition, the screen uses ClearBlack Display technology, for making the most of visibility when outside.
One of three Symbian^3-based handsets launched by Nokia, the C6-01 is the smallest and most affordable. The other two phones are the E7 and the C7. The E7 has a 4 inch AMOLED display and slide-out QWERTY keyboard together with an 8-megapixel camera, Dolby Digital Plus, and HD video ability. The Nokia C7 has a stainless steel frame, 3.5 inch AMOLED display and an 8-megapixel camera.
The Nokia N8 smartphone also runs on the Symbian^3 platform and is packed full of high-end features including a 12-megapixel snapper, Dolby Digital Plus technology, video editor, and secondary camera for conference calls.
