There have been some leaks of what appears to be a new Nokia N-series smart phone spreading around. According to reports, the new device will be designated with the N00 name though that remains to be confirmed. In any case, Nokia is still keeping quiet about the delays regarding the launch of the MeeGo powered N9 smart phone so expect little about this so-called N00 until the N9 is launched.
Joining in the ranks with Asus and Dell, Acer has confirmed that they are now working on a new Windows Phone 7 handset. The announcement is not that surprising, considering that the electronic manufacturer’s name has already been brought up earlier in Microsoft’s list of supporting phone makers.
A new Tegra 2 Powered super phone from LG is in the works. Labeled as the LG Star, the new Android smart phone will be focusing on HD media playback (with its HDMI output port). Considering the processing power of the Tegra 2, it would not be surprising if this handset can easily handle rendering 1080p videos on its display screen.
According to various news reports, Microsoft might just launch a new Windows Phone 7 update at the start of 2011. No specific details have been released so far, but it is expected that the update will also fix the issues regarding the SD card compatibility and Flash support as well. Some rumors are stating that the update will be so massive that it might as well just be called Windows Phone 8.
