The social networking smartphones from INQ are heading to Vodafone UK, with the Cloud Touch landing in April and the Cloud Q during Q3 later this year.
Announced last week, these INQ devices are dedicated to bringing Facebook to life on your mobile phone and are bound to appeal to those with their finger on the Facebook pulse, at all times.
Both the INQ Cloud Touch and INQ Cloud Q phones feature a Visual Media Feed. This displays content, images, videos and web pages from Facebook on your handset. And the Facebook social graph API ensures you see updates from the social networking site that are most important to you.
In terms of other features, the Cloud Touch and Cloud Q are similar – they run on Android 2.2 OS, and come with a 5-megapixel camera and Spotify music player – except when it comes to design. The Cloud Touch has a 3.5 inch capacitive screen whereas the Cloud Q comes with a 2.6 inch display combined with a QWERTY keyboard.
Although unconfirmed, the INQ Cloud Touch on Vodafone is likely to be available in April. This month was stated by the company during the official introduction, when the handset will be sold through the Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy.
If social networking is an important feature of a phone, you’ll be pleased to note Vodafone will also be selling the HTC ChaCha Facebook phone soon, as well as the two INQ smartphones.
The next few months should prove busy for Vodafone, actually, with numerous new devices heading its way. These include the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet which will be offered exclusively on Vodafone.
Mobile phones coming to Vodafone include many of the newly-announced handsets, shown off during MWC 2011: HTC Desire S, Wildfire S and Galaxy S II; Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, Xperia Neo, and Xperia Arc; and LG Optimus 3D.
