It’s been a long road for Xperia X10 Mini and Mini Pro owners waiting for their Android 2.1 Éclair update but the last network to roll out the update in the UK, Vodafone, is now making the update available. The update isn’t going out over the air, so once you get a notification that your update is ready, you’ll have to connect up to a PC and use Sony Ericsson’s PC Companion syncing tool to load the firmware upgrade. While many users will remain disappointed that the X10 series won’t be receiving an official Froyo update in the future, Éclair does provides a significant upgrade to the performance and features of Android, so be sure to pick it up when you get the chance.
