The highly acclaimed Motorola XOOM tablet is now available for pre-order from both the Carphone Warehouse and PCWorld. The Carphone Warehouse will be stocking the 3G + WiFi edition of the tablet for £599, Sim FREE. We couldn’t spot a mention of an expected shipping date, though. Meanwhile, PCWorld will be stocking the WiFi-only version of the Motorola XOOM, which will come with all the same features minus 3G connectivity. This one will set you back £499.99 and is expected to be available from the first week of April. We note with a little disappointment that this price seems to have risen slightly since PCWorld first put up their pre-order pages, when the XOOM was being listed for £449.99. This price was quickly taken down, presumably because someone spotted the error. Still, £500 is a great price for this cutting edge Android tablet, so we’re not too upset over the increase.
