If you want to keep the games away from your children so that they learn more than how to fire pigs at passing birds then the good news is you are not alone. There are lots and lots of fun, educational iPhone apps outs there, so let’s have a look at 10 of the best ones.
1. Cute Math
With this app your child can learn to count friendly penguins or juicy apples. They can even move the cute little animals around the screen in order to work out the solution to the question. This app costs a little under £2 and despite the colloquial Math is interchangeable for UK children.
2. Preschool adventure
This is another fun app for the little ones. There are 18 different types of educational activity such as the Sea Beats section, where children can explore an animated aquarium filled with music. Another popular game is Note Maker, and in this game children can play a proper piano with the help of a friendly parrot. It costs under a pound.
3. Animal Fun
This app has over 50 different types of creature and the children just need to learn to recognise them by sight, by name or by sound. This is a free piece of software and is a decent starting place for children who love animals and are starting to learn how to read and write as well as for younger ones.
4. 123 Color HD
This is a drawing app with lots and lots of features. Children can learn about shapes, colours and the world whilst using a variety of sound effects. You can choose from between 10 and 30 colours and then let the little one paint to their heart’s content.
5. TeachMe
This app gives children the chance to learn about numbers, shapes, colours, maths, letters and pronunciation. It is nice and simple to use, although not quite as attractive to look at as some of the others apps on this list. It costs less than a quid and could be a great addition to your child’s education. Parents can check out what their little one has been doing at any time too.
6. ChildCalc 7-in-1 Math Fun
Adding up, taking away, dividing and multiplying are all made easy on this piece of educational software. There are lots of animations, voiceovers and other cool features to get children hooked and learning while having fun.
7. ABC Animals
What better way to learn the alphabet than with the help of cute and cuddly animals? As well as English you can also teach them Spanish, German and French this way too.
