A pretty official looking promotional video for the as yet unconfirmed Nokia N9 has recently surfaced on YouTube.
Reports regarding the video are as conflicted as reports about the N9 have ever been. The video’s description as well as the MeeGo official Facebook page claim that the N9 is running the MeeGo operating system, as it was originally believed to, but many people have commented that the UI bears more than a passing resemblance to Symbian “Anna”. This might be just a UI tweak to MeeGo to bring the two in line visually, but there’s no confirmation on this.
What can be confirmed is that the N9 is packing a 12 megapixel camera that looks very much like the one found in the Nokia N8. If it is the very same camera, then this will come as excellent news for N9 devotees given that the N8’s camera was almost universally praised by reviewers.
We still don’t have a specific release date for the N9, but if polished promo videos like this one are starting to leak out we’d guess we won’t have to wait more than a month or two to hear something more official. In the meantime, check out the full video below!
