The last we heard of the Nokia N950, set to be the first handset to ship with the open source MeeGo OS, came courtesy of a talk from Nokia CTO Rich Green back in February. With the long silence since then, people had begun to wonder once again if the N950 was really a myth after all. However, another piece of evidence that the device is on its way surfaced yesterday, when film company ArguellesPictures tweeted on their official Twitter page that they had begun filming “for the new ‘Nokia N950’ touch screen 4G smartphone releasing this summer”. We’d stop short of claiming that this is in any way official confirmation that we’ll be seeing the N950 released in the summer, but it will certainly be welcome news for MeeGo fans, regardless. We’ll just have to wait to see if Nokia follow up the leak with any kind of official statement on the N950.
