Apple iPhone wins

July 22nd, 2011 by Zhuman

Best Mobile Contracts have found out that not all is as it seems in the world of smartphones. Over the past month Best Mobile Contracts have been running a competition to win a HTC Sensation courtesy of Vodafone. The competition is now closed and we are able to provide an interesting (if somewhat worrying) insight into the strange ways of the British public.

We have been quizzing people about what they would be willing to sell, to be in with a chance to win a HTC Sensation smartphone. We now have the final results.

Consistent throughout the duration of the competition, entrants were most willing to sell their Apple iPhone, with a staggering 30% choosing this option.  What causes us the most concern though, is that 21% of you were willing to sell your soul (obviously deemed of little value to you) and another 21% were willing to sell their Nan.  This lack of morals does not bode well for the future of Britain. Imagine the sophisticated technology available in years to come, when you become a Nan yourself and the likelihood is that you will most definitely be sold for the latest gadget by one of your young relatives. Some relief to the Hamsters out there (no, that doesn’t include Richard Hammond) is that only 20% of you would be willing to part with them. We’re still trying to understand how bad your Nans are though that you would prefer to keep your Hamster.

In last place and by some significant margin is your car. Only 8% of you would be willing to sell you car, so we are assuming you must have some very nice motors.

What would you sell?

So overall this is disappointing for Steve Jobs and Apple, but on a more personal level I would be seriously worried if I was a Nan, especially one of yours! Additionally I can only hope that poor Herbie the Hamster makes it to a good home.

Once again, thank you to all of you who entered our competition, for making it such a success and for keeping us thoroughly entertained with your answers and comments via twitter and Facebook.

Also, please feel free to defend your decision on our Facebook page.
