Sony Ericsson have followed up their announcement of the new Xperia Arc S earlier today with a press release, including full specifications and some nice promo shots of the upcoming device.
As expected, the big improvement here is in the processor. The Arc S’ upgraded 1.4 GHz processor should produce a marked improvement in performance over the 1 GHz offering of its predecessor. The Arc S is also expected to include Sony’s ‘3D sweep panorama’ technology for capturing 3D images to be displayed on 3D TVs.
Beyond the processor the Arc S shares much of the specifications of the original Arc, with the same 4.2” Reality display and impressive 8.2 megapixel camera. The exteriors of the two phones seem from the press shots we’ve seen so far to be nearly if not completely identical, which is no bad thing on a handset widely acclaimed for its attractive physical design.
