If you’ve been holding your breath since news of the imminent US release for the BlackBerry Torch 9810 on AT&T, waiting for news of its UK arrival, then hold no longer – the Torch 9810 is officially coming to the UK soon!
RIM has announced the 9810 will be released alongside the Torch 9860, an equally powerful handset that boasts a 3.7 inch all-touch display.
And not one but three UK networks have thus far confirmed they will be stocking the Torch 9800’s successor, so you’ll have a choice of offers for this BB OS 7-loaded, fluid, fast, BlackBerry slider in the not-too-distant future.
Three, Virgin and Vodafone will all be offering the Torch 9810 smartphone soon.
Sylvia Chind, head of handsets at Three said, “This great new smartphone comes with the new BlackBerry 7.0 OS which offers even speedier browsing than before as well as the familiar favourite features we know our customers love, such as BlackBerry Messenger, on Three’s award-winning 3G network.”
Network Three has added the 9810 to its Coming Soon page, and has also announced it will be stocking the Bold 9900 handset.
Virgin has stated it will sell the Torch 9810 “later in the year” and Vodafone has likewise confirmed the phone is heading to its network.
However, there is no word from any of the three networks on launch date or pricing yet so we’ll keep you posted on this.
In the meantime, you can take a sneak peak at the Torch 9810 and the Torch 9860, captured in all their glory by Three and Vodafone in these two videos, below. And don’t forget to share your views on these upcoming BlackBerry smartphones with us!
