Orange Confirms HTC Radar Coming Soon

September 13th, 2011 by Caroline

The first network to show their hand with the new HTC WP7 phones is Orange, who has revealed that the HTC Radar will be available soon.

It was only recently, during IFA, that HTC officially introduced the HTC Radar handset together with its bigger brother, the HTC Titan. Both new devices run on the Windows Phone 7 Mango platform and are packed full of features for fun and function.

To see how the two WP7 smartphones compare, side by side, you can take a look at our latest showdown here.

The HTC Radar on Orange will be free on monthly deals, and will be offered on PAYG too. As soon as Orange releases tariff details, you’ll be the first to know.

With a modern, aluminium design and slim 10.9mm thick frame, the HTC Radar has a 3.8 inch Super LCD display that is scratch resistant thanks to the Gorilla Glass. Supporting multi-tasking and powered by a 1GHz processor, this phone is great for communication and entertainment.

The inbuilt 5-megapixel camera has an f/2.2 aperture lens, LED flash and back-illuminated sensor so you can take high quality photos in all lighting conditions. The camera also supports HD video recording, and the front-facing camera allows for video calling.

In addition, HTC has added its new Watch feature to the Radar which lets you browse and download movies onto the handset – an experience further boosted by the 5.1 surround sound technology.

We’re certain it’s only a matter of time before other UK networks follow suit, as both of the new HTC WP7 phones are expected to land next month.

And if the HTC Radar isn’t the phone for you, the company has many more devices in the pipeline including the already-announced Titan, Runnymede and Bliss.

With so many HTC smartphones to choose between, which one are you keeping your eye on?
