Which unique phone should I buy?

Unique Phones

Don’t want to be another iPhone sheep following the crowd?

Not really a ‘Blackberry person’?

Oh, you rebel you.

You want something completely different don’t you?

You want to stand out in the crowd.

You want to shout from the rooftops that you are not just another number in the system.

Well, fortunately for a maverick such as you, I’ve hunted down some of the coolest and most unique handsets currently available.

You can thank me later.

Motorola Gleam

OK, so the camera is pretty naff (2MP), it doesn’t have 3G and you can forget all about apps.

But your too cool for all that anyway right?

Make calls and send texts (old school) in style with the Gleam.

The flip phone is finally making a comeback and Motorola are leading the revolution with this colourful little beauty.

Boasting a snazzy LED matrix that displays retro graphics on the lid, the Gleam is slim, stylish and effortlessly cool.

It’s functional too though boasting an impressive battery life and you can even get it for nothing on a £10 a month contract.

Bargain.

Motorola Flipout

You know, I’ve always thought there’s been a distinct shortage of perfectly square phones.

Thankfully, Motorola have once again rode to the rescue with the quirky QWERTY Flipout.

In it’s un-flipped out form; the phone looks tiny and also a little chubby.

But then, magic. With one quick flip of the wrist, out pops a fully functional keyboard.

Wowza.

Not only is this eye-catching and incredibly cool, it also makes the phone thoroughly good fun to use too.

And unlike the Gleam, there’s substance to go with the style.

Yes, you get a full Android experience, complete with all the apps, social networking and web browsing you can handle.

The 3MP camera does an adequate job too, especially if the extent of your photography is taking snaps of your friends and uploading to Facebook. You know, like the trendy people do.

Again, this uber-cool phone is also available for nothing on the most basic of contracts.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc

If you want a phone that’s a bit different without sacrificing on awesomeness, then look no further than the hidden jewel in the Sony Ericsson crown – the Xperia Arc.

This phone is like the hot girl, who, when you finally summon the courage to speak to her, also turns out to be funny, smart and downright cool (not to mention, out of your league).

You see, not only does the Arc’s super slimline exterior immediately catch your attention, but the Android power under the hood ensures you fall head over heels.

How they’ve managed to cram so much into a phone that’s this impossibly thin is quite frankly miraculous.

You’ll marvel at its form, salivate over its stunning screen and maybe even spontaneously combust at the quality of its monstrous 8.1MP camera.

A beautifully unique design, a slick operating system and available on a relatively cheap contract.

Why this handset continues to be overlooked by the masses is beyond me.

But I guess that makes it even cooler.
