Two weeks ago we launched our latest big competition – the Best Mobile Contracts Christmas Giveaway! Since then we’ve been offering you the chance to win a great new Pay As You Go handset every week until Christmas.
In the first week, we offered a BlackBerry Curve 8520 to one lucky entrant and we’re all very pleased to announce that the first winner has now been confirmed as Kirsten from Birmingham! Congratulations, Kirsten, your new phone will be winging its way over to you very soon!
To enter the competition, Kirsten and the rest of the first week’s entrants had to answer the question “What do you think your Nan will buy you for Christmas?” We gave four options to choose from: woolly socks, woolly pants, a tangerine, or an Xbox 360! We’ve counted up all the votes and the full results are below.
As you can see, woolly socks were the runaway winner, with 65% of you thinking that a warm pair of socks were your most likely gift from the options presented. Surprisingly, woolly pants were the least popular answer, receiving just 7% of the vote. Well, at least you’ll have nice warm toes this winter!
10% of you thought your Nan would most likely buy you a tangerine for Christmas – very tasty, but not exactly big spending. On the other end of the scale, though, 17% of you thought your Nans would splash out on a new Xbox 360 for you! Good to know your Nans are keeping up with the latest gaming trends!
In the second week of the competition we mixed it up a bit with a new set of answers for you all to choose from. The question was still “What do you think your Nan will buy you for Christmas?” but this time you could choose from: a book token, a knitted jumper, a selection box, or a PS3 Slim! The second week was a much closer contest, but sneaking ahead with 33% of the vote were the woolly jumpers – because we all know that nobody knits them like Nan! Second place went to the selection boxes with 31% of the vote, so we guess a lot of you are looking forward to some chocolate treats this Christmas!
23% of you thought that your Nan would be most likely to buy you a book token for Christmas, making it the third most popular answer, and just 13% of you thought your Nan would be wrapping up a new PS3 Slim for you. That’s quite a few less than the 17% who thought their Nans would buy them an Xbox in the first week, so we’re concluding that most Nans are Xbox girls!
The second week’s winner will receive a new Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman and has already been randomly selected and contacted by email – so if you entered the competition, check you inbox and good luck!
