First Network Unveils Nokia Lumia 710 Coming To UK Soon

December 19th, 2011 by Caroline

Remember the Lumia 800’s little sibling? Well, Three has revealed the Lumia 710 smartphone is coming to the UK soon.

Described as “colourful and affordable” when officially introduced alongside the Nokia 800 in October, the Lumia 710 boasts nifty features and a modest price tag.

While the attention has been focused on the 800 model for the past couple of months, with even a Dark Knight Rises limited edition version introduced, you may have forgotten some of the key features of this more affordable Windows Phone 7 handset.

Available in a black or white design, the Nokia Lumia 710 has an exchangeable back cover so you can add a splash of colour and personality to your WP7 smartphone. Back cover colours include black, white, yellow and cyan. On the front of the device is a 3.7-inch ClearBlack TFT display with 800×480 pixels resolution.

Like its bigger sibling, the Nokia 710 is powered by a 1.4GHz processor and comes loaded with the same graphics chip for a quality user experience. Inside the Nokia WP7 phone are high-end features including 8GB of storage, Internet Explorer 9 browser, Nokia Drive with turn-by-turn directions, Nokia Music and 5-megapixel camera with HD video capabilities.

In addition, you can expect excellent support for social networking, an easy way to do work on the move, and a choice of more than 40,000 apps in the Marketplace.

Scheduled to arrive after the Lumia 800, which launched last month, the Lumia 710 is anticipated to arrive on Three in January.

If you’re tempted by the Nokia 710, especially when you consider its pre-taxes estimate of £235, but unsure about Windows Phone OS you can try it out for yourself. Microsoft’s demo site lets you sample the platform on your iPhone or Android smartphone.

We’ll keep you posted on pricing and release date details, but in the meantime we’d love to hear your views on this Nokia phone.
