If you have your eye on a certain Pay As You Go smartphone from O2 then you could be about to enjoy a 10% price drop.
The network is feeling the festive vibes and running a “Like it to lower it” promotion between now and 8th December, offering customers the chance to get a PAYG smartphone at “an even better price this Christmas”.
Simply visit O2’s Facebook page and “Like” the handset you want to see reduced in price by 10% and the phone with the most votes (“Likes”) will then be available for less.
Make sure you “Like” your phone by midday on Thursday 8th December. The winning handset will then be sold with a 10% discount on Friday 9th December, online and in O2 shops. The offer stands for the one day only – but if you’re after a PAYG phone this Christmas, it’s an excellent deal.
If two PAYG handsets have the same number of “Likes” O2 will select the winner based on which one has the highest recommend retail price.
So which PAYG phones on O2 are up for grabs with a possible 10% discount?
At the top of the smartphone tree is the BlackBerry Curve 9360. This normally has a price tag of £249.99 but could be yours for £224.99. Then there are two phones with a current cost of £149.99 that could be yours for £134.99 – the HTC Wildfire S and Samsung Galaxy Ace.
If slide-out keyboards on a mobile appeal to you, you should vote for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro handset which would cost £116.99 with a 10% discount.
And for less than £100, there’s the Nokia E5 which could be yours for a reduced price of £89.99, and the Alcatel OT990 which would cost £80.99 with the discount.
