With MWC almost within touching distance, Samsung has introduced the newest member of its popular Galaxy gang – the Galaxy S Advance.
Constructed along similar lines to the original Galaxy S model but with a curved design, the Advance version packs a decent punch for a smaller price.

The phone boasts a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, dual-core 1GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and front-facing 1.3-megapixel snapper, HSPA 14.4 Mbps connectivity, Android Gingerbread software, up to 32GB of memory, and 768MB of RAM.
Samsung says its latest Galaxy smartphone is designed for those who “define themselves by the phone they carry” because of its “balance of style, power and performance”.
Inside, there is Samsung’s TouchWiz UI and a range of Hubs including for music, e-books and gaming. There is also the firm’s ChatON service for messaging friends more easily, and the Find My Mobile function. This encrypts the phone’s data should you lose it, and you can then track it online or remotely wipe its details.
There is no word on pricing yet for the Samsung Galaxy S Advance, but it is coming to Europe “gradually” after its release in Russia in February. You can expect to see it in on display at MWC.
And while we’re on the topic of next month’s MWC, time will soon reveal whether the Galaxy S II’s successor will be unveiled during this event. Some claim the Galaxy S3 handset is destined for an April launch, after a February introduction – which is what happened with the current model last year, of course.
