BBM Music: 6 Months Free For UK Users

February 9th, 2012 by Caroline

BlackBerry owners are in for a treat as RIM’s newly-launched BBM Music service can now be enjoyed for free for the first six months.

All you need to do is download BBM Music to your smartphone and get listening. The initial six months will be free of charge, and you’ll be able to sample BBM Music Premium which normally costs £4.99 per month.

This new service enables you to expand your mobile music collection, discover new tunes and share tracks with friends.

All you need to do is choose your 50 songs from a “library of millions” and then add a load of friends to BBM Music. You can access their songs in your music collection, so the more friends you add, the more music you’ll be able to enjoy. After all, it’s all about sharing music and experiencing tracks together, so you can exchange songs with friends as well as chat in real-time about different tunes using BBM.

As well as sharing songs, you can share playlists with friends too.

Plus, you can access your music collection wherever you go because the tracks are stored on your SD card for offline listening. And each month, you can swap 25 of your 50 songs for new ones, ensuring your music profile stays current and reflects your latest activities – for example, playlists for running or chill-tracks for listening to on the way home from work.

Additionally, because your BlackBerry handset is tough, you don’t need to worry about damaging your phone as you enjoy your music collection – we learnt earlier this week that each smartphone undergoes rigorous testing to make sure it can cope with life’s knocks. Before your BlackBerry reached you, it endured a drop test, water test, and bend test!
