Apple’s two latest iPhones, the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, remained comfortably on top our sales charts and earn silver and gold medals this. Samsung’s Galaxy SII is hot on their heels, though, and rose one position to claim this week’s bronze.
Meanwhile, two of Samsung’s older handsets were catapulted into mid-table by some excellent cheap contracts. The Samsung Galaxy Portal and Samsung Tocco Lite, both released in 2009, managed to claim the 5th and 8th bestseller positions respectively this week.
After placing 4 handsets among our top ten a week ago, BlackBerry has had a more modest week. The flagship BlackBerry Bold 9900 rose up the charts to claim 4th position and the Torch 9800 held onto a placement at 7th, but the Curve 9360 and Curve 9300 weren’t so lucky and dropped out of the top ten.
Last week’s top ten was dominated by Apple, Samsung and BlackBerry but Nokia and HTC made a comeback this week with a phone each among our top sellers. HTC’s Wildfire S budget smartphone reached 6th position while Nokia’s top of the range Windows Phone 7 operating Lumia 800 reached 9th.
Finally, Apple’s aging but ever popular iPhone 3G S just maintained a chart placement at 10th!
