Hot on the heels of the last HTC quad-core smartphone leak, we have some more news for you regarding the upcoming HTC Endeavour.
As you probably recall, this powerhouse of a device is expected to take a bow during next week’s MWC event in Barcelona, and until now was going by the codename of Endeavour. This quad-core handset began its life as the Edge, and was also suspected to be known in real life as Supreme.
Well, it now turns out that the Supreme moniker may not go by the wayside. HTC may use it for the Ville super-slim smartphone instead.
But, and here’s the juiciest part of this rumour, the HTC Endeavour is now thought to be introduced at MWC as the HTC One X.
“Apparently the “X” will be placed as superscript above the word “One” for branding purposes,” PocketNow reveals. The guys add that a subcontractor of HTC is said to have booked the Danish URL htc-one-x.dk, for a possible microsite in the future one would guess.
In the last lot of leaks, it looked like this upcoming HTC premium phone would go by the name of Endeavour. Next we heard that the Endeavour was heading to both Orange and Vodafone in the UK. However, it now looks like the HTC One could be the name instead.
So, come MWC, HTC could well unveil the HTC One X and the HTC Supreme – to rival the other speculated quad-core devices and sleek dual-core handsets with their names on the MWC line up.
Anticipated features of the One include a 4.7-inch HD display, 8-megapixel camera, Sense 4.0, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal space, Beats Audio technology, Ice Cream Sandwich software, and Tegra 3 chip.
Come on, Mobile World Congress 2012, hurry up and begin – so we can finally meet this elusive quad-core HTC smartphone!
