Pictures have emerged online of what could be the LG Optimus 3D 2. Along with the Optimus 2X, the Optimus 3D was the smartphone highlight from LG in 2011. With the leading phones of last year such as the Galaxy S2 and iPhone 4S being exceptionally slim the Optimus 3D was criticised for being quite bulky in comparison.
To compensate, this sequel will be much slimmer – measuring just 9.8mm in thickness. It is also thought that the screen will see a big improvement with a new HD resolution and it will feature a dual core 1.2GHz processor and dual 5 megapixel cameras, along with some other hardware upgrades, although exact details won’t become available until Mobile World Congress kicks off in a couple of weeks. The Optimus 3D 2 may be released under the name of the LG 3D Max.
