More news is emerging of the upcoming LG Nexus phone that has been spotted recently. According to French newspaper Le Figaro, the handset will be released as the “Nexus 4″. The paper also states the phone will be available on October 29th.

Images of the device had appeared this week on XDA Developers under the name of the “LG Mako”, which appeared to show a modified LG Optimus G. More images have since appeared on a Belarusian website after it supposedly got its hands on a prototype model.
This website claims that the Nexus 4 will have a quad core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor, 2GB RAM, 4.7 inch HD screen and an 8 megapixel camera. Most of these specs fit in with the earlier rumours, apart from the camera which was earlier reported as 13 megapixels.
The phone appears to run on Android Jelly Bean rather than being a launch handset for Key Lime Pie. The Nexus 4 will launch on the same day that Microsoft will be launching Windows Phone 8.
