It now takes on the mantle as the Acer flagship smartphone on the Windows platform rivaling its own Android Liquid.

What stands out on its touchscreen monolithic form is its 3.8-inch TCF LCF resistive touchscreen display with Wide VGA resolution constrained by the lackluster Windows Mobile to just 65k colors. It comes with a gravity accelerometer for auto rotate portrait or landscape viewing according to handset orientation.
It also gets a proximity sensor for auto-disabling of touchscreen sensitivity when held to the face in a call. The Windows OS gets tweaked with the Acer UI 3.0 for a new phonebook and organizer functionality called Agenda together with a Communications manager and preference menu lacking in the OS.
It comes preloaded with SNS apps for integrating with Facebook and Flickr sites as well the usual Pocket Office version for the desktop MS Office.

As a flagship smartphone, the neoTouch gets all the data connectivity options with 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and 2 Mbps HSUPA on the triple band UMTS radio for 3G and class 10 GPRS at 48 Kbps and EDGE at 236.8 Kbps on the quad band GSM for 2G.
It is also WiFi-enabled with DLNA for surfing in hotspots at 54 Mbps and gets Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and miniUSB 2.0 for wireless and wired local data transfers, respectively. A GPS receiver is integrated for SatNav functionality with A-GPS support
The Acer neoTouch F1 carries a 5-megapixel digital camera with autofocus, LED flash, geo tagging and VGA video recording at 30fps. Multimedia gets a typical stereo DM radio with RDS and gets the usual media players for popular audio and video file codecs. With a 3.5mm headphone jack, you can use wired HiFi headsets or go wireless stereo headsets with its A2DP profile on Bluetooth.
It has the required 256 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM to support its memory hugging OS leaving only a phonebook with nearly unlimited entries and fields, call record and SMS texting for its user memory storage. But you get microSD external memory expandability for up to 32 GB.
The 1350 mAh Li-Po battery can only get you up to 5 hours of talk time on 2G and 400 hours of standby time when fully charged.
