The Dell Aero is a quad band GSM (850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900) for seamless international roaming on the 2G network with class 12 GPRS/EDGE data speeds. It also enjoys 3G network coverage from its tri band UMTS (850/ 1900/ 2100) with only HSDPA support at 3.6 Mbps. There’s also WiFi 802/11 b/g for hotspot online support and this completes your internet access options. Local high speed data transfers get wireless Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR and A2DP as well as microUSB 2.0 for the wired option. There’s a built-in GPS for SatNav functionality with A-GPS support aided with Google Maps.
The Aero comes with the same display features as Dell’s first Mini handsets with a 3.5-inch TFT LCD capacitive touchscreen, Half-VGA resolution and 256k colors. It gets multitouch data input technology as well as gravity accelerometer for auto rotate viewing in the landscape of portrait mode and a proximity sensor for touchscreen auto-off when in a call. Onboard memory comes with practically unlimited phonebook entries. It comes with external memory expandability up to 32 GB from its microSD slot and it even comes with a 2GB microSD included in its sales kit. It gets a standard Li-Ion battery rated at 1,000 mAh.
