Why compare with us?

The relatively new HTC Touch Cruise is a phone that was released by HTC in early 2008 and has a lot to offer in terms of features and design. The phone is equipped with a camera, a media player, GPS navigation, a touch screen display as well as handwriting recognition and of course high speed internet in the form of 3G or WiFi. In our opinion, the HTC Touch Cruise is a great phone with a great set of features and it’s likely to have done and still do very well in terms of sales. It’s a business based phone and we’d recommend it to almost any business user across the UK.

Specifications

The HTC Touch Cruise is equipped with a great set of features including a 3.2 mega pixel camera with auto focus and the camera can also record video clips which is handy. The phone also has a secondary video call camera so you can see who you’re talking to and they can see you (if they have a video call camera). The phone is also equipped with a built in GPS receiver which means you can find your way to just about any location in the world. There is also a TomTom maps application which means you can see where you are and get audio step by step directions to where you want to be.

There is also the high speed internet which is 3.6Mbps and you can also use the WiFi card that is inside the phone to hook up to high speed broadband connection whether you’re at home, in the office or at a WiFi hotspot. The WiFi feature is also handy for sharing files on networks at home or in the office. As the phone is a business model it also has Pocket Office which means you can view, compose and edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents on your mobile phone which is an extremely handy feature for business users.

The HTC Touch Cruise is also equipped with a great media player, FM radio and an audio and video album. All in all, the HTC Touch Cruise has a great set of features and it pretty much has everything you could ever need as a business or personal mobile phone user. The phone’s great looks also make the phone more appealing and it’ll probably do very well in terms of sales, both this year and next. We think it’s a great phone and it has a nice set of high quality features that’ll make it very popular.

Looks

In terms of looks, the HTC Touch Cruise is a touch screen phone with a nice sleek and stylish design. The phone is available in a few colours and is very good looking. The large 2.8 inch display which is completely touch screen makes the phone appear sleek and slim line. The handset itself measures in at about 110mm by 58mm by 15.5mm in dimensions and this is pretty small for a smart phone of this caliber. We think this phone will be very popular thanks to its looks and design – it’ll definitely be popular with business users, but personal users may find the phone a little boring.

However, it is a very heavy handset weighing about 131grams but as it’s a smart phone and has a good battery life we’ll let that slide. The phone’s battery life is good and offers up to 7 hours of talk time which is pretty incredible for a smart phone so we presume that’s why the phone is so heavy – it has a large battery. Having good battery life is something that can never be complained about. All in all, the looks of the HTC Touch Cruise are good and although they’re very business focused, they’re still stylish and sophisticated.

Design

In terms of design, the phone runs a Window Mobile Professional Operating System so is very slow (as all smart phones appear to be), but it does have a good user interface which works very well with the Windows Operating System. HTC has always been good as creating great software and this phone is no exception. It has a nice set of features, all of which work well and smoothly and although there have been comments about the phone being a little slow – everyone who has said this seems to have indicated that it isn’t a major problem and that no phone is perfect.

Overall

All in all, the HTC Touch Cruise is a great looking phone which is designed for business users and as it was released in January of 2008 it’s a pretty incredible device. The phone’s features are ideal for business users and it seems to have everything you could ever need from a business mobile phone. The GPS, high speed internet and media player facilities are bonuses and the 3.2 mega pixel camera is actually pretty good considering the fact this phone is a business model. We think this phone has a lot to offer and we’d definitely recommend it to business users.

The phone’s high quality features are well made and well designed and it all seems to work well together. Even though people have commented on the phone being slow – a lot of them have said themselves that smart phones are always slow and that it’s definitely not a reason to not buy this phone. We agree; the phone may be slow but the features do work and everything appears to be of the highest quality. For a phone released at the beginning of this year, it’s clear that HTC are doing very well at the moment and will continue to do well as they’re ahead of the game.

Overall, the HTC Touch Cruise is a great looking phone in terms of exterior design and it also has a very nice set of high quality features which make this phone very usable and fun. We think this phone is probably one of the best business phones to have been released in the first quarter of 2008 and because of that we’d highly recommend it to business users throughout the UK. It has everything you could need and is a great specimen of what HTC are capable of.
