Why compare with us?

In a word or two

A budget handset that boasts a full touchscreen and 3G support, the LG T320 Cookie 3G is an ideal choice for a first phone or for staying in touch for less.

The Design

The LG T320 Cookie 3G is one of three new Cookies from LG to join the likes of the KP500, Cookie Gig and Cookie Fresh phones. The T320 is the most advanced of the trio as it comes with support for 3G connectivity, unlike the T300 and T310. This is reflected in its design as it is the most sophisticated of the new devices, with rounded corners and a body shape not dissimilar to the iPhone smartphone.

The look is simple and there is a 2.8 inch screen complemented by three separate keys for easy navigation. The T320 is the only one of this Cookie trio to feature an inbuilt accelerometer which turns the display onscreen from portrait to landscape when you tilt the handset. As this is primarily a phone for messaging, having a larger keyboard when the phone’s on its side is a great addition.

With various colour schemes to choose between, you can have your LG T320 Cookie 3G in subtle black and silver, bold black and red or black and pink, or vibrant black and aqua blue.

Specifications

Similar in capabilities to the T300 and T310 Cookies, and less advanced than many of the earlier Cookie handsets, the LG T320 Cookie 3G offers a wide but basic range of features. You can listen to music on this phone, and there is both an MP3 player and FM radio onboard together with a 3.5mm audio jack. Light at just 92.5g, the Cookie 3G is a good size for carrying with you and listening to tracks as you go.

The same can be said for the 2-megapixel snapper on the mobile. You’re more likely to have the LG T320 Cookie 3G with you more often, so you can take quick snaps or capture video footage of friends and family. The internal memory is only 30MB but with a microSD card this can be boosted to up to 4GB for keeping all your images and music on the phone.

Connectivity wise, the highlight is the 3G support – this enables you to browse online and make the most of the social networking integration. There is also Push Email on this device, which saves you time and effort as all emails you receive come through to your accounts automatically. Each time you receive an email, you’ll be notified too.

Considerations

Like the screens on the T310 and T300, the screen is resistive and so requires fairly firm presses to register your action.

Verdict

For a budget touchscreen, the LG T320 Cookie 3G offers you a stylish design together with 3G support for communicating online.
