In a word or two
The Lenovo LePhone is a touchscreen smartphone with an attachable keyboard so you can enjoy the best of both worlds.
The Design
The Lenovo LePhone is a slick mobile phone with rounded and smooth corners, and framed with a chrome edge. The 3.7 inch screen is touch-sensitive and highly responsive to finger commands – on a par with the iPhone for user-friendliness.
Where the Lenovo LePhone differentiates itself from other smartphones is with the QWERTY keyboard accessory which can be plugged into the phone for effortless typing – presenting another way to communicate together with the touchscreen. The keyboard has a funky design centred on the circular navigation pad in the middle.
With the LePhone attached to the keyboard and clipped into the case, you can set the phone down on a table for hands-free viewing or close the phone and carry it with you with the screen shielded against the keyboard.
Specifications
Much is still to be discovered about the Lenovo LePhone but what we do know is that the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor. This ensures the phone is rapid – the Google Nexus One features the same processor. With support for 3G and Wi-Fi you will have no problem enjoying web pages on this handset.
There is a 3-megapixel camera on the Lenovo LePhone for capturing images on the move, with plenty of ways to send photos to friends and family directly from the phone. You can choose between email, MMS, Bluetooth, uploading online and transferring to your PC via the USB connection.
The Lenovo LePhone has GPS inbuilt to help you navigate your way easily. You will also have access to the Lenovo application store for downloading additional features onto the phone.
Verdict
More details coming soon on the Lenovo LePhone ~ although this smartphone certainly looks like being a strong rival to the likes of the iPhone 3G S.
