If you’re looking for a phone that has the sleek style of a Blackberry, but with the impressive OS of Android Gingerbread, then the Motorola FIRE could well be a dream come true.

The perfect phone for those who enjoy messaging, the FIRE has a full QWERTY keyboard similar to that of the Blackberry Curve which makes typing long emails a breeze. Nevertheless, it still offers a touchscreen that’s perfect for sneakily texting on during those boring lectures.

The Motorola Fire is a BlackBerry style messaging phone that also comes with touchscreen functionality. Although it offers a similar QWERTY keypad to those found on RIM handsets, it offers a larger touchscreen display as well. The capacitive screen measures 2.8" and comes with the Moto Switch interface on top of Gingerbread Android.

With Android the Fire provides plenty of excellent messaging features including support for email, instant messaging and threaded SMS. The phone includes 3G and Wi-Fi for excellent web connectivity and comes with a full HTML browser with Flash support. The physical keyboard on the Fire is what makes the phone an excellent device for avid message fanatics, and provides an excellent alternative to the touchscreen for people who prefer a more physical means of text input.

The Fire also comes with plenty of entertainment value with access to Android Market for games and apps, and excellent playback support for music and video. This includes YouTube support and the Fire also comes with an FM radio for portable listening to the latest tunes. With microSD cards you can have an additional 32GB of storage room on top of the pre-existing memory. There is also a loudspeaker and headphone socket for enjoying audio output.

A 3 megapixel camera is included that supports 480p video recording, which will serve all practical day to day photography needs. The Fire is an excellent messaging phone from Motorola and offers the best of both worlds when it comes to physical typing and touchscreen fun.
