The Motorola WILDER is for people who, like its name, are a little wilder than most. That’s because the WILDER is able to withstand a lot more damage than your regular phone.
With its resistance to water splashing, dust and being dropped, this phone is perfect for those of you who like to cut loose at the weekend, whether that involves rock climbing or simply getting tipsy and dropping your phone on a night out.
The Wilder is a durable handset from Motorola that comes at a more affordable price compared to its earlier sibling the Defy. Like the latter device the Wilder comes with resistance to things such as dust and water splashes making it a more suitable phone for carrying about in environments where you are likely to encounter dust or splashes of water. The Wilder also comes in a protective rubber casing that can protect it from bumps and drops on the floor.
At a very affordable price the Wilder is aimed at the younger generation. It seems as though Motorola has added durable features because they believe younger phone users are more inclined to drop their phones or encounter water splashes rather than to aim this device specifically at mountain climbers and scuba divers, as is usually the case with phones that fall into the durable category. Because of this the Wilder is not as durable as some other phones on offer, and will not fare too well with being held under water, except for splashes of course.
The Wilder has a 2.8" resistive touchscreen and runs on its own specially designed interface. Some features include and FM radio and games such as Tetris and Need for Speed. There is also a media player with support for streaming videos and you can also record video on the 2 megapixel camera. This camera comes with a fixed focus and 6x digital zoom. You can also slot in 32GB of SD cards for storage for music, video and photos.
The Wilder´s interface provides you with direct access to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube so that you can enjoy these great online services. Web browsing is provided by the Opera Mini browser and the Wilder also comes with Bluetooth support.
Although it is not the most feature-packed phone the Wilder does come with some nice online options including access to Facebook and YouTube. This will go down well with the younger generation of phone users that this handset is aimed at. Its durable rubber casing, splash and dust resistance also make this an ideal phone to carry around to festivals, or simply to have with you at the pool or beach without worrying about it getting damaged. It is also very affordable at less than £50 on Pay as You Go, and is available in ´Licorice and Saffron´ or ´Licorice and Classic Grey´ as a choice of colours.
