The Nokia 500 is a Symbian touchscreen phone that offers some great features at an affordable price, and is one of the first handsets to make use of Nokia´s new naming convention that consists of just numbers. The 500 uses a 3.2 inch capacitive screen and runs on Symbian Anna with a wealth of entertainment features and social networking apps.

The Nokia 500 is powered by a 1GHz chip which is plenty for the efficient Symbian OS to play around with. The Nokia 500 includes plenty of Nokia apps and services including Maps and access to the Ovi store, where you can download new apps as well as games. The phone includes great music and video playback and also comes with an FM radio and internet radio support. The phone has 2GB internal storage as well as accepting 32GB microSD cards.

The phone comes with 3G and Wi-Fi so you can connect to the net at any point you like, and also offers pentaband radio coverage making this an excellent handset for travellers. Also included is a 5 megapixel camera including video recording support, also excellent for people making their way around foreign lands. The Nokia 500 is available in black, and at a later date white, and comes with 3 changeable battery covers to give it a different look and feel.
