Nokia Booklet 3G deals on contract

Nokia Booklet 3G deals

The world leader in mobiles seems to be taking a product strategy that is the opposite direction as most PC makers like Apple, Dell and Acer to mention some. As the leading mobile phone maker, it is training its sights on making a pocket PC

This becomes evident with its foray into the netbook markets with its Nokia Booklet 3G. Leveraging on its expertise in making mobile phone and internet tablets with near desktop qualities, Nokia is positioning the Booklet as being better than flagship netbooks in the market.

Features Above the Netbook Crowd

The Booklet runs the new multitasking Windows 7.0, not the Windows Phones 7 Series, on an Atom processor hardware that simply puts it slightly above the netbook crowd and creates a new genre of mini laptops in the process.

Elegantly styled with a firm solid feel in the tradition of an Apple Macbook, its aircraft-grade all-aluminum body is just 2 cm slim weighing just 2.75 lbs (1250g) - light enough to carry in your briefcase.

·         It comes with a large 10.1” TFT LCD screen which is a flattering nod to many netbook screens in the market but carries a higher screen resolution at 720p (1280 x 720) with a glass surface. It also comes with a gravity accelerometer for motion sensing auto-rotate viewing.

·         You get a wide range of data connectivity options that start with a built-in 3G modem for data calls on the dual band WCDMA (900/2100) or the tri band UMTS (850/900/2100) with HSPA support. There’s WiFi 802.11/b/g/n to give consumers hotspot internet surfing at up to 54 Mbps data speeds. There’s also Bluetooth 2,1 with EDR and A2DP for wireless stereo listening.
·         It’s got SatNav functionality with integrated GPS and A-GPS receivers and comes preloaded with Ovi Maps application.
·         The Nokia Booklet 3G carries a host of ports and slots starting with an HDMI 1.2 port that allows high definition video out for display to any high definition TV to make the Booklet an HD-ready device. There are 3 UB 2.0 ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack that also functions as audio input as well as a hot-swappable SIM slot and SD card reader.
·         It has a 1.3 megapixel fixed focus camera for you to engage in video chats.
·         You can enjoy 12 hours of uninterrupted computing between battery charging which is more than what most other laptop PC can offer.

It comes preloaded with MS Office small business edition (60-day trial), MS Internet Explorer 8.0, Ovi Suite downloadable separately and a social hub for SNS that’s also downloadable.

The mobile computing world recently got a fresh boost with the entry of a Windows 7-run Nokia Booklet 3G. This is Nokia’s first foray into the netbook genre, but with one that makes mincemeat of its competition. Stunning features for a New Genre Announced last week as a “mini-laptop,” the Netbook 3G is driven by a powerful Atom processing that makes it a netbook, but runs a Windows 7 that makes more than that.  Its slew of features fur...
