Why compare with us?

The Nokia N79 is a great looking phone with a good range of exciting features including a-GPS navigation. The phone also has a 5 mega pixel camera which allows you to take some pretty impressive photos. You can also use the camera to record videos and the camera itself has some features which make it rival some standalone digital cameras. There is also a separate camera for video calling. This phone has a large range of exciting features and is probably one of the best Nokia phones available on the market today. It has all the features you could possibly need on a mobile phone and more.

Specifications

The phone has a good range of features and most of them are top of the line. I think there are two stand-out features; the first is the 5 mega pixel camera which has a variety of features in itself including autofocus, 20x digital zoom, red eye reduction and a built in flash. The camera is perfect for capturing moments with your friends and family and the quality of the pictures is great with this phone. The camera also has a dedicated camera key and is able to record video at up to 30 fps. The phone’s second top of the range features is the a-GPS navigation with Nokia Maps which allows you to find your way to just about anywhere in the world with assisted instructions on your route.

The phone also has a media player courtesy of Nokia which allows you to sort your music in order of playlists, artists and even album art work. You can use the equalizer to enhance your music experience too. The phone also has an FM radio so you can listen to your favourite radio station while you’re travelling. You are also able to customise the phone quite a bit with wallpapers, screen savers, MP3 ringtones and more. You can also use the video camera to make video calls which is fun and using the TV out function you can have a big screen experience with your videos and photos.

The phone also has an email client that allows you to send and receive emails with attachments and you can take advantage of the high speed internet as well to download music and videos to your phone. The phone is also equipped with Bluetooth for sharing and connecting to your PC or you can use the USB cable to transfer files to and from your PC and mobile phone.

Looks

The handset itself is very stylish and offers a great looking exterior. The phone is available in a variety of colours including white with light sea blue, espresso brown and olive green or seal grey with espresso brown, coral red or white. The phone has a good range of colour options and this makes it easier to make the phone suit your style and tastes. All in all the looks of this phone are sophisticated and stylish and you’re likely to find the phone easy on the eyes.

The handset measures in at 110 x 49 x 15 mm in dimensions and weighs about 97 grams so is a good size for a mobile phone. You can expect a lot of compliments if you own this phone because it looks and feels very classy. The screen is 2.4 inches and is a QVGA 16 million colour screen which makes it look high tech and also it’s great for viewing photos and videos. The phone has a good look to it and is very stylish for today – you can expect jealously from your friends if you flash this phone around too much! All in all, the design is nice and the look and feel of the phone is nicer.

Design

This phone is a great looking phone on the outside and inside it’s even better. The operating system is again, Symbian and it runs the S60 third edition feature pack 2 and the version of Symbian that it runs is 9.3 so it’s pretty up to date. The phone has a classy feel to it when you’re scrolling through the menus and the design is good because it’s easy to use and fast. The applications on this phone all mix well and blend together easily to create a good experience for the user. The phone has a sleek design in and out and it’s well worth the investment.

Overall

The Nokia N79 is a great phone and is ideal for personal use – the a-GPS navigation and the 5 mega pixel camera are my favourite features and you can expect to see yourself receiving a lot of compliments if you own this phone. The design is great and the look of the phone is great – plus the phone has a good range of exciting features to back all this class up. You won’t be able to put it down when you first get it and you’ll be surprised how many people want to play with it. The satellite navigation is a great feature and is ideal if you travel a lot.

The 5 mega pixel camera makes snapping shots and sharing images easy and you can really make some great photos with this phone. The video recorder is also of great quality and all in all the imaging features on this phone are some of the best on the market today. The camera has features that rival that of stand alone cameras and you will be able to get shots like a pro with this phone. Autofocus and other features make it easy to take photos in a matter of minutes.

Another thing I like about this phone is the good range of colour choices so you can really get a phone that matches your style and personality. I also like the display and the design of the handset because it’s simply yet sophisticated and has a very classy look and feel to it. All in all, if you’re looking for a personal phone that has a great range of high tech features but you don’t want something too complicated then this phone will be ideal for you. The features are high tech but the user interface is easy so anyone can learn the controls and take advantage of the fantastic range of high tech features.
