If you're looking for a decent camera that comes with a variety of features, the Nokia N85 could be just the ticket. Its 5MP camera comes with auto focus, flash and a white balance mode, and enables 20x optical zoom. Snaps will look great on the OLED 2.6 inch screen, and you can share them with ease using email or social media.
However, the N85's design doesn't quite match up to its photographic capabilities: it's only available in either black or copper, and weighs in at 128g. But with Symbian 9.3 and a range of media and music features, functionality overrides appearances.
Introduction
The Nokia N85 is a great new phone from Nokia with a large range of exciting features including a 5 mega pixel camera so you can take some amazing photos and then view them on the high quality OLED 2.6 inch screen. This phone has a great range of features and has GPS navigation systems on it so you can find your way to just about any location in the world using this phone. The phone also has video recording capabilities so you can share your videos as well as your pictures. You can also share your photos and videos using email or the web.
Specifications
The Nokia N85 has a great range of features, most of which are for imagery and use of the camera but there are also some great internet and email capabilities which make this phone so much fun for a personal entertainment user. The camera is probably the best feature at 5 mega pixels with a variety of features built in – most of which rival that of stand alone digital cameras. The features on the camera include auto focus, flash, 20x digital zoom, white balance mode and a range of features to enhance your photos so you can snap shots like a pro.
The phone also has some good internet features such as a high speed browser as well as a WLAN card so you can connect to even faster broadband where there are WiFi spots such as at a café or bar. This feature alone is of superior technology and is a great feature for those of you who like to communicate a lot. The phone’s second best feature is probably the music and media player which allows you to listen to your favourite tracks while you’re on the go. The features of the media player include playlists, an equalizer and dedicated music keys so you can get to the music you want to in the press of a button.
The phone also features a great design of software and several games which you can try before you buy and you even get one of the games for free. The phone is very customizable and allows you to select and download wallpapers, themes, ringtones and more so you can make your phone suit you perfectly. This phone really does have a great range of features, so far there’s nothing bad about this phone.
Looks
The phone has a very good look to it and is of high quality in terms of design and build. The only thing I will say is that the phone is available in only two colours; black and copper. This limits users somewhat and as a personal phone you’d think they’d have more colours available. The phone itself has a two way slider mechanism which works well and looks very swish and sophisticated. The handset is 103mm by 50mm by 16mm in dimensions and weighs 128 grams so is actually quite a large and heavy phone. For people who are looking for a super slim line phone with superior style, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.
The phone is very good looking and the screen and buttons seem to make the phone appear sleek in design and the colour black helps the phone appear smaller. Nokia say that the phone is sleek and compact and I agree to a certain extent. The phone is sleek but I wouldn’t say that it’s compact. It weighs 128 grams which is much heavier than most phones but the dimensions are good considering how much this phone has inside. The phone looks good and has a great range of features inside and out so if you’re looking for a sophisticated and sleek phone but aren’t too bothered about the weight of it then this phone is perfect for you.
Design
The phone’s operating system is Symbian 9.3 and the features and applications appear to work well on this device. The applications appear to be well designed and all in all I’d say the features on this phone work very well together as well as alone. The feel of the phone is good and it looks very sophisticated. I will say that a couple more options of colour could make this phone the perfect personal and entertainment phone but all in all the design on the outside of the phone matches the design on the inside.
Overall
Overall, this phone has two main features, both of which are entertainment features. The 5 mega pixel camera is probably the best feature and to compliment this feature the phone has a media player with a great range of options and internal applications. The phone works well and the design and look of the phone is nice. In terms of negative points, I don’t think there really are any. The phone appears to work well and the features on the phone are ideal for a personal user. The only downside to this phone is the lack of colour choices available. All in all, this phone is great and I’d say that the camera is the best feature because for starters it’s 5 mega pixels and it also has a good range of integrated features which allow users to enjoy snapping shots like a pro. Personally I think this phone is great, the entertainment and internet features are top of the line and you’d be hard pushed to find a phone that looks as good as this with the features inside. Having said that, I think the outside design could be a little better. The features inside do match the external design of the phone and all in all I’d say this phone has a lot to offer and is likely to do very well in terms of sales. If you’re looking for a high quality mobile phone with a great range of features that also looks good then I think it’s safe to say you’ve found it. I would recommend this phone to personal users who enjoy entertainment features.
