The world’s number 2 among the Big Five mobile phone giants Samsung updates its B3410 Corby Plus feature phone with the new Samsung Ch@t B3410W, another affordable entry level full QWERTY slider feature phone that on the inside and out is the exact twin brother of the Corby Plus launched in October 2009.

This time around, it gets WiFi. Other than that, you could say that the new Ch@t is a Corby Plus with WiFi. It has the same set of features. It’s interesting to see how mobile phone makers release new models on the strength of just one feature it could have easily put in the older mode it is updating. It’s as if Samsung deliberately forgot to put the WiFi chipset and opted to issue another phone model update with it. You also get the same quad band GSM radio for international roaming on the 2G network with class 10 GPRS and class 12 EDGE speeds of up to 238 Kbps.
