Basics at its Bare Minimum

The F102 gets the same features as its SIM-free F101 from ZTE. It’s a quad band GSM with class 10 GPRS/EDGE data speeds up to 236.8 Kbps. And for a conventional candybar feature phone, it’s also a 3G phone on the tri band UMTS but without HSPA data speeds and you only get 384 Kbps.

WiFi would be too much to expect so you only get local data connectivity support from Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP for wireless data transfers and microUSB 2.0 for a wired option.

As with most other candybar bodies measuring a petite 105 x 46 x 12.6mm you only get a 2-inch TFT LCD screen with no more than QCIF resolution in 65k color depth. You get a basic and bare 2 megapixel camera with fixed focus and a rudimentary video capture facility.

The 3 Mobile F102 comes with a secondary QCIF camera for 3G video calls. For entertainment, you get a simple monaural FM radio and a basic MP3 player and nothing else. It comes with a speakerphone and no 3.5mm audio jack. But you still get the option to use wireless stereo headsets from its Bluetooth A2DP profile support.

Phone memory is good for a candybar at 128 MB but you really can’t use that for your multimedia files which can be best stored in a microSD card for up to 8GB which the handset supports. Its standard 1,000mAh li-in battery delivers up to 5 hours of talk time and 150 hours of standby time on a single charge.
