Acer Iconia Tab W500 Review
The Acer Iconia Tab W500 is bucking the current tablet trend by opting for an operating system other than Google´s Android. There have been many critics of Microsoft´s touch sensitive version of Windows, Windows 7, which they claim is still based on the old principles of mouse and keyboard interaction. While it has been claimed that some of the icons on Windows 7 are too small to be put to good use on such a device, Windows 7 has the benefit of being easy to use for the many people already familiar with Microsoft´s operating system. It a......

Acer Iconia Tab A100 Review
The Acer Iconia Tab is an excellent high powered Android tablet from Acer that includes a lot of processing power while at the same time coming in the more portable mid-sized range of 7" devices. The Iconia Tab comes with Google Android Honeycomb which is the first version of the popular OS to have been designed for tablet use in particular. While this introduces many great tablet-centric features Acer have also complemented it with their own interface.
This interface provides excellent integration for social networks like Facebook and Twitt......

Acer Iconia Tab A500 Review
The Iconia Tab A500 was launched alongside the Iconia Tab A100 and Iconia Tab W500 as part of Acer´s latest quest to get a foothold in the tablet market. The A500 and A100 both run on Android Honeycomb, specifically designed for tablet use (unlike earlier Android versions), while the W500 comes with Windows 7 as its OS of choice. While many may argue that Honeycomb offers a better touchscreen experience the W500 does come with an optional laptop dock that can provided a more old school experience which many may prefer.
The main difference b......

Acer Liquid mt Review
The Liquid mt is one of the latest handsets to join Acer´s legendary Liquid range of smartphones. The original Liquid was a huge success for Acer and helped to cement their foot in their smartphone market door. The original was popular for its perfect blend of entertainment, messaging and web browsing features with a dash of professional functionality thrown in. The Liquid mt follows in its footsteps, with more modern hardware on board, and is an ideal device for professional and casual phone users alike.
The Liquid mt comes with a gorgeous 3.6&q......

Acer Iconia Smart Review
The Iconia Smart is a very larger phone and is so large that, at times, it is hard to tell if it is a large phone or a small tablet. With a 4.8" screen the Iconia Smart is only marginally smaller than the Dell Streak 5 that fell into the latter category of devices, but by rights should be understood as a phone. As can probably be imagined the larger screen has some benefits while having other drawbacks, most noticeably with carrying it about on your person.
The larger screen makes the Iconia Smart more ideal for viewing movies than smaller smar......

Acer Liquid Mini Review
Following in the footsteps of many of the big phone manufacturers such as Nokia and Sony Ericsson, it seems that Acer is keen to release more pocketable versions of its popular handsets. The Acer Liquid was released at the end of 2009 and has been one of the company´s most popular phones, with a range of spin-offs having since been released such as the Liquid E and Liquid Metal. Compared to some of the mammoth touchscreens that are starting to emerge it could be pondered whether Acer really needed to make a mini version of the Liquid in the first ......

Acer beTouch E210 Review
A quick glance at the beTouch E210 will remind most phone owners of a typical BlackBerry device, and the phone certainly looks like something that RIM would produce. It has a similar compacted QWERTY keyboard and optical trackpad that are found on most BlackBerry handsets, except that this phone is from Acer.
BlackBerry devices have become hugely popular and cornered a niche in the mobile phone market. The QWERTY design keyboard makes them much more ideally suited towards messaging than standard alphanumeric keypads and for many people they have becom......

Acer beTouch E140 Review
The beTouch E140 is a compact and affordable Android handset from Acer that makes use of Android Froyo (2.2). Froyo has just been superseded by Android 2.3 Gingerbread with the release of the Samsung Nexus S, but the beTouch E140 still features a more recent version of Android than even the highly acclaimed Samsung Galaxy S.
Compared with many other smartphones running on Android Froyo the beTouch E140 has some scaled down hardware features. It features a 600MHz processor and 256MB RAM, and a 2.8" resistive TFT touchscreen with 256k colours. ......

Acer Liquid Metal Review
While Acer are a relatively new company to world of mobile phones, traditionally being involved in the manufacture of laptops and home computers, they did score an early success with their Liquid handset. This certainly stood head and shoulders above Acer´s other, rather non-descript and unimposing, handsets. Acer followed up with a slightly modified and improved version some time later known as the Liquid E, which featured some hardware tweaks and an upgrade to the (then) latest version of Google Android.
Now Acer has yet again unleashed a re......

Acer Stream Review
In a word or two
The Acer Stream is a powerful, sleek device that houses a swift internal processor and multiple features in a modern frame.
The Design
With a look of the iPhone, the Acer Stream has a contemporary smartphone design. The classically large touchscreen is surrounded by a slightly rounded case and just three physical keys at the bottom. These are also dedicated music keys that allow you to play, stop and change tracks straight from here.
The 3.7 inch screen is larger than the iPhone 4’s 3.5 inch screen, and uses AMOLE......
