Palm has announced that both the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus handsets will be available in the UK on the O2 network from 28 May onwards. These two new smartphones from Palm feature upgrades on the original Palm Pre and Palm Pixi models. Thanks to an impressive 45% sales increase, BlackBerry maker RIM has become one of the five largest mobile phone manufacturers in Q1. Ousting Motorola from the top five, RIM is now tied with Sony Ericsson on market share, according to research company International Data Corp (IDC).
