Orange is one of the 5 major network providers in the UK, and is only overshadowed in size by O2 and Vodafone. Founded in 1994, Orange was the brand adopted for the UK mobile network operation of Hutchison Telecom and was bought out by France Telecom in 2000. France Telecom serves over 170 million customers on all five inhabited continents, and two thirds of these (110 million) are Orange customers.
