Introduction
The brand new Blackberry 8900 Curve is a great new phone from Blackberry which offers a huge set of high quality features as well as a great looking handset which let’s be honest, is unusual for Blackberry. The phone is equipped with the usual Blackberry feast of exciting features such as a 3.2 mega pixel camera, WiFi, business software, built in GPS, a QWERTY keyboard and much, much more. We think the Blackberry 8900 is a great phone and well worth the upgrade from the original Blackberry Curve. We’d only recommend this phone to business users and as it’s a Blackberry we think that’s pretty obvious.
Specifications
The Blackberry 8900 Curve has a great set of features and will definitely appeal to business users – as all Blackberries do. The phone has a 3.2 mega pixel camera with auto focus, a flash and image stabilizer. The phone also has a built in WLAN card which means you can connect to high speed broadband networks which means you can do this at the office, at home or at WiFi hot spots. It’s also handy for sharing files on networks at home or in the office. The phone also has the usual Corporate Data Access that almost all Blackberries have so it’s definitely a business phone.
The phone also has a built in GPS receiver which means you can use high quality GPS software to find your way to just about any location in the world with step by step directions. The phone also has an enhanced media player which means you can listen to music and watch videos on the 2.4 inch display with ease. You can also use the camera on the phone to record videos which is a handy and fun feature. The phone is also equipped with an email client and that means you can send and receive emails with attachments quickly and easily – the QWERTY keyboard also makes this easier.
The Blackberry Curve 8900’s features are great and we’d definitely recommend this phone to business users. You can also use the web browser to surf the web and download content and of course, you can send and receive texts in the form of SMS or MMS. The phone also has a few dedicated keys some of which are user customizable which is very handy. All in all, the Blackberry 8900 Curve is a great phone and well worth the purchase in our opinion. It has everything a business user would ever need and more.
Looks
In terms of looks, the Blackberry 8900 Curve is a great looking Blackberry phone and it offers a stylish design much like the previous Blackberry Curve. The phone’s display is 2.4 inches which is large enough to enjoy videos and photos. The phone is available in one colour at the moment and that is black. The phone measures in at about 109mm by 60mm by 13.5mm which is actually quite small for a Blackberry device. However, it isn’t small enough to have compromised the design of the QWERTY keyboard which is very important for business users and personal users for that matter.
The phone weighs about 109 grams which is actually, again, quite light for a Blackberry and is very light for a smart phone in general. All in all, the looks of this phone are good and it’s definitely a practical phone with practical features in terms of the exterior design. The QWERTY keyboard is a great asset to the phone and offers an easy way to compose texts and emails. We think it’s a great looking phone and we think it’ll be very popular because of the sleek look and the smaller than average size of the phone. The weight also plays a big part because not many people want a heavy phone.
Design
In terms of design, the phone runs a Blackberry Operating System which works very well and is surprisingly fast considering it’s a smart phone. The features inside the phone all seem to work very well and most of fast and responsive too which is a bonus. It has a lot to offer and in terms of its design we think Blackberry has done an amazing job with this handset. It’s fast, easy to use and of superior quality when compared with other handsets. All in all, the design is good inside and out so we think it’s great.
Overall
All in all, the Blackberry 8900 Curve is a great looking device that’ll definitely appeal to business users and maybe some personal users too. The phone’s features are amazing and are all very good quality which seems to make all the difference. The phone is a definite worthy upgrade from the original Curve in our opinion and we’d definitely recommend it to business users all throughout the UK. It’ll probably be a very popular handset once it is widely available – it’s already causing a stir and is probably going to continue to do well in terms of sales this year and next.
The Blackberry 8900 Curve’s features are second to just about none and it seems to be one of the best smart phones to have been released this year. The features are perfect for business users and everything seems to work smoothly and quickly when you need it to. The high speed internet and great media player are probably what make this phone so good as well as the high quality camera, GPS navigation and pretty much all the other exciting features available on this phone. It’s got everything a business user could ever need and a lot more.
Overall, the Blackberry 8900 Curve is a great phone and we’d definitely recommend it to business users. It has a great set of features all wrapped in a great quality device which seems to be exceptionally good looking for a Blackberry. We really like the Blackberry 8900 Curve and we think it’ll do very well in terms of sales both this year and next year and it’ll probably become a best seller in the business market. It’s stylish and sophisticated as well as having an awesome set of features so all that remains to ask is; what more could you want?
