HTC HD mini Review - read honest HTC HD mini reviews

The HTC HD Mini is a powerful little version of the HD2 smartphone.

 

 

With an interesting and fashionable design, the HTC HD Mini has some quirky features that draw the eye. There are visible screws on the back of the phone, which actually hold the metal case of the phone together. These screws distinguish the HD Mini from other smartphones which have a plain reverse. The other stand-out element is the bright yellow insides of this handset which give you quite a surprise when you lift the battery cover off – how many of your friends have a handset that can do that?

 

The 3.2 inch touch-sensitive screen is the same size as on the HTC Legend, although it looks smaller given the smaller frame. The screen uses capacitive technology and is quick and responds to the lightest touches, supporting multi-touch for effortless zooming.

 

There are touch-sensitive buttons beneath the screen for instant access to the home screen, menu, back and calls. There are also the icons for the various apps aligned along the bottom of the screen which you can scroll through with ease – making the navigation and experience fast and enjoyable.

 

 

Run on the Windows Mobile OS, the HD Mini has HTC’s Sense UI over the top for a fun and intuitive user experience. For example, when you are listening to songs on the phone’s music player, not only is your collection sorted into categories like album and artists but the system keeps playing music even when the phone is locked. So you can change a track without the need to unlock the phone, which is a nice touch. You can add songs by downloading from websites or transferring via the microUSB connection, expanding the internal memory to up to 16GB.

 

The quality of the screen allows for visual enjoyment of movies, which you can stream from the YouTube app on the HTC HD Mini or playback your own movies, shot on the phone’s camera. The 5-megapixel camera has autofocus for capturing decent images on the move. You can share your photos online using the Twitter and Facebook apps which are pre-installed on the handset, or alternatively send to friends via MMS, email or Bluetooth.

 

The features of the compact HTC HD Mini are supported by the 600MHz Snapdragon processor which ensures using the phone is a seamless experience.

 

 

The HTC HD Mini’s camera does not have an inbuilt flash.
