Can say I am happy with the phone, to be honest. I cannot get it to connect wi-fi points unless the security is turned off, even though it is supposed to support WEP. MP3 sofware and sync to pc is useless, usb driver problems. Paid a lot of money for a contract to have a mobile phone that does a lot of things which do not work (wi-fi, gps, music player), left with an expesive phone and camera (but can't get pics off camera to pc!). Sure some if it me, have tried to contact LG, not response.

What is the person in the above review on about? You start off by saying you like the phone, then go on to complain about every aspect of it. Did you ever go to school, your English is terrible. Maybe mobile phones are too complicated for you to operate.

I however did go to school. There are many good features however I agree with the previous writer. I agree about problems with the MP3 player. The software is slow to run and even though the phone is acknowledged as connected on one part of the system, when it comes to transferring music to the phone the software says the phone is not connected. Very fustrating. I seem to be unable to do anything with the GPS system.

If you are having problems with transfering music or photos just change the connectivity to mass storage and drag and drop simple no need to use the lg software

mass storage does not work wither, the problems connecting the phone to PC's are well known with this phone and have been documented elsewhere. So far all I can do is look at my contacts, the phone connects via USB and says connected but in music mode says its not connected. A real pain in the backside in my view.
As far as I know there is no knownfix with the phones connestion problems.

Hi I upgraded to this phone 3 weeks ago, although the phone on the face of it appeared to have the features that I wanted,8 megapixel camera, large memory etc.it sadly lacked the one thing that I find essential on every phone I have owned over the past few years and that is voice dialling, this is important to me as I spend most of my working day driving. I checked several websites before getting this phone and almost all said that the Renoir had this feature, even the lady I spoke to in my local O2 shop confirmed this.So I took the plung and signed up a new contract. sadly I found out after the deal that I had made a mistake.Fortunatley the manager at my local O2 shop agreed to exchange the Renoir for a Sony Erricson C305,a better phone all round.

I got this phone back in Jan, it's not a bad phone although it lacks applications. It has 2 themes and I can't find a way of downloading new themes and using them. I had some problems with connecting the phone to my computer and laptop but after downloading and installing the software from LGs website everything was working perfectly. Before getting this phone I looked at the C905 and Pixon, This phone had the better camera, it zoomed in smoothly and the pictures looked nice compared to the Pixon. I got put off the C905 as soon as I heard about the call problems, my sister has a 905 and everyone has who she phones and who call her have complained about the call quality. Another thing about the Renoir is the fact that the Operating system is a custom LG built one which means not many applications for the phone. I recommend you stay away from the Renoir and buy a symbian or a windows phone if you want to use applications on your phone.

The Renoir has problems my phone did not find GPRS from day one and after downloading google maps etc still didn't work even though I have been told that it would. Contacted LG and it has been with them since the 1 May 2009 not wht 10 June and after 22 phone calls to LG they still have no part nor does it look like a part is arriving as no date has been given to receive one. WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT SEND IT TO LG ! they will give you the run around about jugsaw parts /software until you get fed up with them.

Ok heres the truth - Ive had a vast ammount of phones over the years mainly as upgrades ive had sony erricsons which are great, LG Samsng, Nolkias .... my last phone was a nokia N95 which is brill only one down side to this phone there arent any emotions on it which i like to use! Well it came.... looks great felt great ... mmmmm im impressed until .... i wanted to text .... its so fiddly there is no way you can text without looking or text whilst walking to the shops ...... camera is great through !!! So i have gone back to my Nokia N95 and the LG ...... well thats back in thei the box! What a hype. My 2 weeks trial expired after going on holiday and not using it until my return. This is the worst phone I've ever had. It's slow and unresponsive, it freezes for hours, I've never been able to get the GPRS to work, I haven't been able to use the email function and I'm sure I don't get all my texts. The camera is good but I'm more concerned with the day to day workings of a phone and this one cannot be relied upon. Also the battery's not very good and you get very little warning before it dies. And although you get loads of memory I reckon the phone would be painfully slow if you actually put loads of music on there.
I've been on sim only contracts for ages cause I liked the freedom and I signed up to an 18 month contract for this phone and I obviously I regret it.

Worst phone i have ever owned...sorry...It is forever freezing on me, dial a number but then you can not hear a thing, half the time cannot use the net, randomly turns itself off, touch screen on it is rubbish and thats when it works, majority of the time does not send the texts or recieve them, cuts off incoming calls, says it has full signal but you can do nothing with it. O this phone is one problem after the next, I was close to smashing it today and i doubt it will be long before i do smash the useless piece of junk.

Have owned the phone for about 6 months. It´s great. Some of your other reviewers should spend 10 minutes doing a google search as many of the problems they have mentioned can be fixed by just adjusting the settings for your needs. My only gripe would be that the settings are not intuitive and that is probably why some of your reviewers are finding it won´t do basic things. Spend the time setting it up. It will be worth your time.
