LG Viewty Review
Like the other LG mobiles, the LG Viewty also features a user interface that is very appealing to the consumers. The touchscreen interface alone makes it very engaging to everybody. If you were a fan of its predecessor, the LG Prada, you are going to love this mobile phone much better. It is basically an LG Prada, only without the designer tag and some hefty add ons.
The LG Viewty still has all the best features of the LG Prada, but the Viewty is even better, it comes with a better video camera at 5 megapixel , better battery life and memory, , and the best feature of all, it actually has 3G. The screen itself is touch-sensitive, meaning you only have to touch the screen lightly to be able to use the buttons. The buttons, menus and icons of the Viewty can be seen on the screen - if you pressed a button, the Viewty gives a vibrating feedback to confirm that you did press a button. This feature takes a little getting used to but you should be fine after a little practice.
If you are apprehensive on how the touchscreen can help you in making or taking calls, the Viewty is also equipped with actual buttons right under the screen dedicated to making calls and ending them. It has buttons on the side for volume control, a jog wheel for easy navigation and a button for music and camera control.
The only disadvantage that this mobile phone has is the texting interface. Since this is a touchscreen, you might have a hard time composing text messages with it especially if you are used to using keypads fast. But this should not be a problem since the Viewty also comes with a stylus pen that you can use if you think that using your finger with the touchscreen will slow you down.
What is better is that the Viewty has handwriting recognition support so that word input should not be a big deal with this handy device. Going in-depth, its camera is equipped with autofocus and Schneider-Kreuznach optics. It has SmartLight intelligence that makes dark pictures clearer than they were taken.
The Viewty´s camera may not be the best mobile phone camera head on, but it is still among the best. Its video camera is also quite good since it can film in resolutions that are as high as 320 x 240 and at frame rates that are as high as 120 frames per second. You can also edit your pictures and videos with the Viewty. The front camera also lets you make easy video calls.
With the LG Viewty, you can: play music, take pictures, make videos, download, read your important documents, surf and check your emails, and even store your files on the mobile with 90MB internal memory which is further expandable to 2GB.
