Nokia 2720 Fold
Summary
With arguably it´s main feature being its price rather than anything it actually does, the 2720 Fold is one of the cheapest phones available. It does however carry enough features, and more than enough charm, to attract those who might be getting tired of all-singing, all-dancing handsets. Released alongside the 2730 Classic, this is an attempt by Nokia to win back some market share in emerging markets, but there´s a good chance it´s a phone that´s going to catch on the world over.
Details
A Clamshell handset with no 3G or wireless, a low-megapixel camera and no media player might not sound like a potential bestseller, but we think there might be a significant market for this phone. With its dinky features, no-nonesense style and the reassurance that it´s going to be as reliable as anything you´ve ever owned, this might be a very smart choice for those who want their phone to just be, well, a phone. If, like many others, you´ve boughtg phones in the past only to realise later than you use only a small percentage of all the features and functions that impressed you when you were researching what to buy, you might be tempted to downgrade and get something that´s purely functional as a phone, with a few little extras thrown in.
The Fold does come with Nokia Life Tools, an FM radio player and basic internet connectivity, so it´s not entirely out of date. And because of its streamlined functionality, you can be sure its battery life will last and last.
There´s even a chance the sheer simplicity of this phone might take off in a retro way – so keep your eyes peeled for that!

I have owned the Nokia 2720 for about 2 weeks and I am impressed. For such a cheap phone, this device is packed with features and looks good, haddles well and is simple to setup and use.
The standby time for the battery is supposed to be 16 days which I think is overstepping expectations. After its first full recharge I managed 7 days while making only a few short calls and less than a dozen texts. However this is the best performance I have ever got from a Nokia battery and a vast improvement from my Nokia 6555 which simply devours the battery.
I would strongly recommend this phone.
Clam / flip lid is poor design...rounded shape not good..needs a little "lift" bit on the bottom of lid..I have to catch it by sides to lift...The keypad numerics are too small...lots of features with phone..many I won't use...but good for whizz kids !
I have had 3 Nokia phones..this falls short in design and ease of use...I have tried the radio..it is very good...but the small access flips for radio earphones and charging entry seem delicate. the secondary display on shell casing will not stay lit....u have to press volume button to do so. I had hoped it would stay on..perhaps I have not yet found right button..!! Overall...not for me...
