Nokia 6212 Review - read honest Nokia 6212 reviews
Introduction
The brand new Nokia 6212 Classic is a new phone which has just been released by Nokia – it was announced in April of 2008. This phone has a lot to offer business users and a few personal features too. We’d probably recommend this phone to both business and personal users but it definitely has more of a business vibe to it. The phone has a camera, media player, organiser and it also has the added benefit of using Near Field Communication for reading, writing and sharing. We think this phone has a lot to offer and we highly recommend it to personal and business users everywhere.
Specifications
The Nokia 6212 Classic is equipped with a 2 mega pixel camera with a flash and the camera can record video as well which is great. The camera on this phone is pretty good and you should be able to take some good shots with ease. The phone also has a media player which can play MP3 and Mpeg 4 formats of music and video. Other entertainment features include the FM radio which also has Visual Radio which means you can tune into your favourite radio station and take part in interactive radio shows. Entertainment wise the phone is well equipped and does serve personal users well in our opinion.
The phone has a lot of business features including email, Instant Messenger and a web browser which means you can keep up with your work while you’re out of the office. The phone also has Push Email and SMS and MMS messaging facilities which all come in handy for both business and personal users. The Near Field Communication feature is very useful and this is probably only the second Nokia to have taken advantage of this somewhat understated feature. The phone also has a good set of organiser tools including notes, calendar and a calculator and converter.
The Nokia 6212 Classic is also equipped with a World Clock which is pretty handy if you travel a lot for work. There is also Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging which is another handy feature of this phone. All in all, the Nokia 6212 Classic has a great set of features which are useful for both personal and business users. However, we’d recommend this phone more to business users simply because the majority of features on this phone would go unused with a personal user. Plus, the design of the phone is rather dull and definitely targeted towards business users.
Looks
In terms of looks, this phone has a very classic look to it and while some people say it looks old and boring, we’d have to say that this phone is simple and classic which is a much better approach. The phone has nice smooth edges and is available in one colour which is Black. So for personal users this may be rather limiting but the phone does look good in Black. The handset itself measures in at about 114.7mm by 47.1mm by 14.5mm so isn’t a super slim line phone nor is it large and chunky. It’s probably the perfect size for a mid range phone of this design.
The phone only weighs 88 grams which is relatively light when you consider the amount of features inside this phone. It has a good solid feel to it and the keypad and buttons are all easy to use and push. This phone is a great show of what Nokia can do with a handset of this design. It has a nice and simple look to it as well as having a practical and rather stylish appeal. All in all, the looks for this phone are good and they suit the features inside making it an entirely fused device which works very well together.
Design
The design of this phone is very good and the exterior works very well in terms of usability. The phone uses an enhanced Series 40 user interface which is very easy to use and fast. As this isn’t a smart phone you can rest assured that most of the applications and features will run quickly and smoothly so you should be able to get the hang of this phone pretty quickly. Overall, the design aspects including the exterior and interior of the phone are very good and we think a lot of people will like the way this phone works.
Overall
All in all, the Nokia 6212 Classic is a great looking phone which all seems to work very well together with its features. The phone has a lot to offer and includes some great features for a mid range phone. We’d highly recommend this phone to personal and business users but more so to business users because of the exterior design and the majority of the features are business focused. The phone’s camera and media player are great entertainment features and the added benefit of Visual Radio makes this phone very appealing to people who like entertainment features on a mobile phone.
The phone also has a lot of business features and the Near Field Communication is probably one of the best features on this phone and is a very handy addition for business mobile phone users. The Nokia 6212 Classic appears to have everything that a mobile phone user would need and although it doesn’t have all flashy features such as WiFi and GPS it still holds a strong position in the market at a mid range level. It’ll probably do very well with business users who need a decent phone which has all they need and not too many distractions.
Overall, the Nokia 6212 Classic is a fantastic phone which is very cheap when you consider the amount of features available. As a mid range phone it definitely has a lot to offer and will be strong competition for other business models in this range. The features alone are enough to sell the phone and then the exterior design which completes the look for this phone makes it a very appealing handset indeed. All in all, it’s a phone that is worth purchasing for both business and personal use.
