The Nokia C3 handset has been crafted with your social networking and messaging wants, and your budget needs, in mind.  

 

 

The first Series 40 device to come with a full QWERTY keyboard, the Nokia C3 has a look of a BlackBerry – striking a pose that is both friendly and functional. The 2.4 inch screen sits above the keyboard with a navigation key in between.

 

Launched alongside the E5 which has a similar BlackBerry-like design and the Nokia C6, the C3 is the most affordable model and comes in a choice of golden white, slate grey and hot pink casing.

 

 

A social networking mobile phone, the Nokia C3 has support for multiple email addresses (up to 10) as well as IM clients including Ovi Chat and Google Talk. The integration extends to the home screen too, where all your communication is shown – Twitter and Facebook information is shown here and you can respond without having to open the individual apps.

 

The 2-megapixel camera may be basic but its inclusion means you can capture what you want, when you want. And then upload it onto social networking sites, email it to friends, use Bluetooth to share it, or download it to your PC via the USB connection. The video option lets you shoot fun footage – which you can share easily too.

 

There is a music player onboard the Nokia C3 for your entertainment and the 3.5mm audio jack gives you the option to listen no matter where you are. So you might be studying studiously in the library while listening to your favourite tracks on your earphones or travelling on the bus while browsing through your collection and selecting a song. The FM radio gives you more choice too.

 

 

The C3 has support for Wi-Fi but not 3G connection.

For social networking and a finger-friendly QWERTY keyboard with a basic camera, video and media player – plus an expandable memory up to 8GB – the Nokia C3 looks set to be a popular affordable handset. A full review is coming soon.
